WHH Meals Project

The stories of appreciation and gratitude coming out from the William Harvey Hospital are heartwarming. We are grateful to be able to show our amazing NHS workers that they are valued and loved by our community through this simple act of providing meals.

We are also so thankful to the army of people from within our community who have come forward to make this possible! Thank you!!

So far we have delivered over 1000 meals! We have also received £2,525 of donations for this project which so far has been used for –

  • Buying ingredients
  • 2 Microwaves for the hospital
  • A storage freezer for the Warehouse
  • Two fridges for the hospital (for storage and defrosting of meals)
  • Cutlery / containers and labels

Here are some responses we have received from the hospital staff.

“I was late having a break and it was a very cold day. The hot meal really warmed me up. It was the thought that somebody had personally made the meal specifically for us that really touched me and made me realise how appreciated I am – thank you so very much.”

“Receiving this meal really encouraged me. Knowing that the public really value what we are doing means so much. I actually felt quite emotional. Thank you”

“Seeing the personal message saying I was an angel really touched me. I felt really valued and appreciated just at a moment when I needed it”

We would love to invite you to get involved by sending messages of love and support to the staff at the William Harvey Hospital. These will be included in the meal packets being delivered each day.
