Yesterday we wrapped up our WHH Meals and Messages project of three months! This project would not have been possible if not for our amazing community who have risen up in generosity, encouragement and kindness!
We would like to say a massive thank you to all of you who have made this possible –
⦿ All of the home cooks who initially got this project off ground
⦿ All those who generously gave financially towards this project
⦿ All of the professional cooks and caterers who helped us sustain this project.
⦿ All those who lovingly sent in messages and pictures, which were much appreciated by the staff.
Because of your astounding generosity and efforts, we have been able to provide over 4000 meals to the hospital in the past three months!
Here is just a snapshot of some of the feedback that we have received from staff:
‘What a wonderful difference and generous act of kindness you have given us. From the bottom of our hearts – thank you. You really made a difference to how our nurses felt in terms of value and appreciation. We won’t forget what you did.’ Chrystal, Deputy Chief Nurse
‘My teams have been overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion shown to them. This applies to both the practical and the spiritual. Do not underestimate what good you have done and how many people you have touched.’ Sue, Head of Nursing GSM
‘It is said that an army marches on its stomach and our band of Therapists certainly have felt re-energised by the tasty meals and lovely messages of support that have accompanied them. Please extend our thanks to all those involved at the Vineyard during the past few months.’ Andrea, Therapy Site Lead
“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members, a heart of grace, and a soul generated by Love.” Coretta Scott King
