Celebrating our Chefs of the WHH “Meals & Messages” Project

This week we are introducing and celebrating Simply Catering Kent!

Simply Catering Kent started out with just 3 cooks, Pat Miller and 2 of her friends back in 1984. In October 2005 due to the high demand for their homemade ice creams which they made for weddings etc launched them into retail and Simply Ice Cream was created.

This is what Sally had to say – “Since 70% of our customer base is currently closed due to the pandemic, it has been lovely to spend some time back in the kitchen creating meals for the NHS and keeping busy!”

“I actually contracted Covid in November and ended up in hospital, so know first hand how amazing the staff are at the William Harvey and how hard they work, I can only imagine how much harder its been for them all throughout the last couple of months when the numbers went through the roof. The wards were full when I was there! It’s so lovely to be able to say thank you to them all in this very small way”

“I have had the most amazing support from friends from around the area donating turkeys and hams that had been destined for family Christmas dinner tables, pasta and rice, and donations to help with the cost of ingredients. So I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone.”

Let’s show our appreciation by liking and following their social media pages, and sharing them far and wide to give SimplyCateringKent the love and recognition they deserve!
