This week we are introducing and celebrating our third chef responsible for the delicious meals we have been able to deliver for our amazing WHH staff, Nino Costa!!
Nino Costa began his chef career at 14, washing up for Trust House Forte in Sardinia. He trained to be a chef there and on his 21st birthday came to work for them in London. His career has spanned from working for hotels, to a Manager position in Chimneys Group.
In 2007 Nino and his wife Claire bought The Halfway House which over the course of 6 years gained a reputation of offering excellent locally sourced produce and a welcoming atmosphere. After selling the pub in 2014, Nino set up ‘Amici’ in the heart of Ashford where he worked for 4 years before semi-retiring in 2018.
Nino now works together with friends at a local pub as a chef part-time.
